Metabolism over development

How the whole-body basal metabolic flux (BMF) and each organ's metabolic activity change across the infant growth series, day 1–180. Each day is a separate whole-body model (Harvey ♂ / Harvetta ♀); the BMF is the total ATP turnover from the unique minimum-norm flux distribution, and each organ's ATP turnover paints the body map. Computed live from the database and cached.

Research & education only. This is the behaviour of a published whole-body model of infant metabolism — not a measurement of any individual infant, and not clinical or nutritional guidance. The flux is mechanistic (no anthropometric BMR estimate is shown, because those are calibrated for adults).
